hooked

soft sand beneath my feet,
the dark blue water pulling at my toes,
the delicate ocean being discreet,
waving me in, as my obsession grows.

freezing, yet alluring,
one foot in I'm hooked for eternity,
my love is so deep,
the sad so nice, but grabbing, its gritty.

starting to sink, and now I'm drowning,
never realizing, and now I pity,
my poor judgement and decisions.

no more love, water or sand in the end,
what I thought made me feel, was not my friend.
